Marching Band more...

  • BHS Marching Band will be featured in a concert and parade at The Greene on Saturday November 20. Parade is at 6:00 p.m. with the standstill concert before the parade.
  • BHS Marching Band to host an afternoon long Fall Mini-camp for all 8th grade band members on Friday September 17. Watch for more details!
  • Band will use "One Call Now" system this fall
    • In order to improve communication with the 200 marching band families we will be using the "One Call" system. After you sign-up you will receive a call to notify you of events and updates such as: cancelations or delays in band events, home arrival times on trips, weather related information, contest information, etc.
    • Please fill out the One Call Now Consent form {pdf} and return them to the band office A.S.A.P. to have your phone numbers added to to phone call bank of numbers.
  • Band Camp Lecture Series 2010
    • So, how are you doing on the various topics we talked about at band camp 2010?
      • Are you “paying it forward?” You just might get the “good cheesecake!”
      • Are you working on being “more aware of what is going on around you?”
      • Are you setting goals for yourself “like the people at Pixar?” It starts in believing in yourself!
      • Give any compliments lately? Notice any good things around you? Like I said, Give any compliments lately?
  • Parents, with 200 students in marching band this year, the parking lot before and after rehearsals and performances is very congested. To ensure the safety of the students, please find a parking space and do not use the small loop near the band room for drop-off and pick-ups.

  • Beavercreek High School Band Chaperone Duties
    • Parent bus chaperones are used on all band trips. Please fill out and turn in to the band office the Chaperone Trip Application {pdf} The first drawing for chaperones will be Tuesday August 24th, 2010.

Winter Guard more...

  • The Beavercreek Winter Guard announces that they will compete at both MEPA and WGI contests in 2011. The BHS Guard will compete in Scholastic A Class. Auditions will be held in Early November 2010. Watch for updates concerning next season.
  • Congratulations to the members of Winter Guard as they finish the season with two strong performances. The Beavercreek Winter Guard with their "I Just Want To Be Happy" show scored 78.2 and took 3rd place on Saturday March 20 and placed 2nd with an 80.5 on Sunday March 21. Both shows were held at Westerville Central High School.

  • Thanks to the students who played for the girls game on Saturday February 13th. Only 20 students played. We usually have 68! We need to avoid this in the future.

  • May Edition released! The Broken Drum Head, The Official Above Ground Student Perspective Of The Beavercreek High School Instrumental Music Department
  • The Beavercreek Band and Douglas McCullough were presented an award by the City of Beavercreek in recognition of their support and service to the Veterans’ Community. The BHS Band has provided musicians for numerous Veterans’ Ceremonies in Beavercreek and Green County for many years. The presentation was made by The Mayor and The City Manager to two Beavercreek Band Leadership Team Members on Thursday March 18th at The Beavercreek Senior Citizen Center. The award is proudly on display in the BHS Band Room.
