Reading/English Lab - Weighted Grading Categories
- Percent of Total Grade
Assignments - R Book, worksheets, and any other miscellaneous assignments = 20%
Tests - SRI and R Skills Tests = 20%
Quizzes - Reading Counts Quizzes = 20%
Topic Software Average = 20%
Participation = 20%
Study Skills Grading Procedure
Students will be graded in Study Skills based on participation, organization checks, agenda checks, grade checks, and writing samples.
In Reading/English, several heavily-weighted grades are entered at the end of each quarter (i.e., Topic Software Average and Reading Counts Quiz Scores). Therefore, student grades are subject to drop if work is incomplete or missing.
Student Absences/Make-Up Work
In Reading/English, students are responsible for making up all missed work in the R-Book and turning the R-Book into Mrs. Smith according to the policies and time specifications set forth in the Student Agenda. Students should ask what was missed upon their return from an absence. Study Skills students are expected to ask all of their teachers for work missed upon returning from an absence.
