The 2013 Martin W. Essex School for the Gifted and Talented(tm) at Otterbein University offers rising high school seniors opportunities for career exploration through a unique program comprised of classes, seminars and workshops on the arts, sciences and humanities. Taking place in multiple venues through-out Otterbein's campus, this residential program encourages social interaction and peer discussion so that students can be challenged intellectually and artistically and develop a better understanding of the role of their abilities and talents in their lives and in society.

DATES: June 16-22, 2013
LOCATION: Otterbein University (multiple venues)
EVENT SCHEDULE: This residential camp will feature daily workshops and seminars, as well as evening field trips and events.
WORKSHOPS AND PROGRAMMING WILL INCLUDE:
1. Visual communication and design
2. Printmaking and drawing
3. Wildlife exploration
4. Environmental chemistry studies
5. Voice and movement in acting
6. Conor Grennan's The Little Princess Discussion of the politics of human trafficking
7. Issues in sustainability
MIDWEEK THEATRE PERFORMANCE (for students and parents): 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19
GRADUATION/CLOSING CEREMONY: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22
