Information About School Counseling Services

At E.G. Shaw Elementary, Mrs. Buckman works directly with students, staff and parents. As a former special education teacher, with a Master’s Degree in School Counseling, her primary responsibility is to advocate for and support children. She consults and collaborates with teachers, administrators and families to enable all students to achieve success in school and to become responsible and productive members of our society. School counseling programs work to address the personal/social, academic and career needs of all students by offering a means to evaluate student needs and positively impact student success by providing guidance and resources to the school community.
