Before listening to the music we looked for blends and hunks and chunks. We also used CAFE:
- read the words for accuracy
- paid particular attention to any unknown words to expand our vocabulary
- read the song again for comprehension (also did lots of inferring)
- practiced reading for fluency and expression
When we had all of that down, we put the music to the words and sang our songs! It was fun!
