SCALES TO KNOW
Major - Learn all 12 of your major scales. Everything we do is based on the major scale and how we alter it to make different sounds.Dorian (commonly used over minor chords: D-, G-7, Am7, etc.)
Mixolydian (used over dominant seventh chords: G7, A7, Bb7, etc.)

Spanish (Phrygian Dominant) Scale


Blues Scale (sounds great in many applications, usually over minor chords: Cm7, Bbm7, etc.)
