OVERVIEW

 

The mission of the Beavercreek City Schools' Pupil Services Department is "supporting student success."  Our department coordinates special education and other special services for students 3-21 years of age.
 
Our department oversees the following:

     •    A variety of school-age education programs

     •    Preschool special education program

     •    Child Find

     •    Special Education Supervisors
     •    School Psychologists
     •    Adaptive Physical Education
     •    Occupational Therapy

     •    Physical Therapy
     •    Speech Pathologists
     •    Counseling and Guidance Services

     •    State Mandated Testing
     •    Home Instruction - is for students who, because of medical, psychiatric, pregnancy
           or chronic illness are unable to attend school on a regular basis.

     •    Home Schooling - is the education of children at home, typically by parents or professional
           tutors, rather than is a public or
private school.  Home Schooling forms must be submitted
           annually.

Pupil Services personnel also serve as a resource to parents and guardians seeking information about community-based social services.  ("Project We Care")

School Aged Disabilities- School-age services identify children under various disability categories.

 

Child Find- The District is committed to educating all children with disabilities.  If you have, or know of, a child who may have a disability, please contact the Pupil Services Department at 458-2414 for more information and assistance.
