The Beavercreek Music Parents Association voted to update the selection criteria of the $4,000 in scholarships to Beavercreek High School music students graduating every year. Eight $500 scholarships will be awarded. Each group, band, choir, color guard, and drill team will have one scholarship earmarked, the remaining 4 scholarships will be open to any senior belonging to any of the BMPA supported organizations. The scholarships are awarded at the senior awards ceremony after an application and interview process conducted by the BHS local scholarship committee. This independent committee consists of teachers, administrators and community members and is not affiliated with the BMPA.
These scholarships are available because of the many music parents who volunteer their time to man concession stands at our school events. Thank you to all the parents!
Senior students and their parents are reminded to apply for scholarships when information is provided by the BHS counseling office-- watch for the "BHS Local Scholarship Program"
