  • Candy

    Dear Fairbrook Families,

Fairbrook will be collecting leftover Halloween candy on Novermber 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  All of the candy will be sent to troops overseas as a small gesture to thank them for their service.  Unfortunately, we are unable to send any items that have chocolate, so all candy must be chocolate free.  Please consider donating any leftover or unwanted Halloween candy if you are able to.  There will be a donation box outside of Mrs. Mangan's office where candy can be dropped off.  If you would like to donate something other than candy, we will also be collecting the following specialty items- beef jerky, gum, and power bars.  Any donation is appreciated!

Thank you for your ongoing support!

  • This is a reminder that Scott Ervin, The Kid Whisperer, will be at Fairbrook Elementary School September 20 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Our PTO is sponsoring this event! Mr. Ervin is an engaging presenter and has worked with some of our Fairbrook staff to increase the "tools" in their educational "toolbox"; teaching them skills to increase student engagement and to improve overall performance in the classroom. We are very excited that he is able to do a parent night for our Fairbrook parents. We hope you are able to make it!

**Please note, we will not have childcare available during this presentation.

  • Each year, Fairbrook Elementary partners with a non-profit agency, Shoes for the Shoeless, to help our Fairbrook Families at the beginning of each school year.  Now it is our turn to help Shoes for the Shoeless!  On September 19th, Shoes for the Shoeless will be traveling to Texas to provide shoes for children who no longer have shoes due to Hurricane Harvey.  Many families have been left homeless and children have been left without shoes due to the flood waters.

We would like to host a sock drive so Shoes for the Shoeless can provide children with new SOCKS and new SHOES.  Please consider sending in NEW socks with your child.  We will collect socks tomorrow through September 15th.  Your child can give the socks to his/her teacher OR they can drop them in the box outside of Mrs. Mangan's office.  We appreciate all of the generosity that the children in our school have shown over the years and I am sure this will be no exception.

Thank you again for your assistance and generosity!

  • PBIS Procure

This year is off to a great start!  The students were all trained the first day by Blue Crew Members in our PBIS, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports.  In addition to a Positive Behavior atmosphere throughout our building, many of our teachers utilize a PAX approach.  Above is a brochure developed for parents that explains what PAX is and some of the terminology (in case you're wondering what is a Granny's Wacky Prize).

  • Last week your child(ren) brought home a letter explaining how to electronically review and sign school documents through our OneView system.  This is in place of the many pieces of paper we used to have parents fill out.  We've heard from those who have completed this task that it is much easier and very user friendly.  However, we still have students without this information complete.  It is extremely important this be taken care of quickly as this includes emergency medical information along with other pieces of data we need to get the year started.  The website is:  http://www.gocreek.org/oneview.  Each child has his/her own code that was printed on their individual letter.  If you've lost this letter, please call us here at school and Mrs. Youngs or Mrs. Osterday can give you your code if you need it. The number here is 937-429-7616.

*Please note that our office staff needs time to process changes to forms when they are completed electronically.  If you need to change transportation arrangements for after school care, please send in a note with your child so that the teacher and office are made aware right away.
