Beavercreek High School

Inspiring Today, Preparing For Tomorrow

We Are Beavercreek High School

Students and Parents:

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I am writing to provide students and parents with information about some new procedures that will be in place for students purchasing parking passes at the high school for the 2016-17 school year.

The parking lot is divided into 4 areas:

•West Lot (formerly known as the Athletic Lot—accessible from Fudge Drive)

•East Lot (partially used for Staff parking)

•North Lot (largest lot that lies between the Main Building and Ferguson Hall)

•Overflow Lot (parking spots along the entrance loop and in gravel area by Ferguson Hall)

Parking passes will be on sale August 11-12 in the Attendance Office.  Mrs. Byers will be selling passes from 9 a.m. to noon on these days.  Seniors will have the first opportunity to buy passes on August 11th.  Juniors can purchase passes on August 12th.  The last opportunity for seniors and juniors to purchase a parking pass before school starts will be Tuesday, August 16th.  Passes can be purchased from 1-3 p.m. on that date.

In the past, sophomores had to be involved in a sport or have extenuating circumstances that required them to drive in order to buy a parking pass.  This policy is no longer in place.  Any sophomore that has a driver’s license may purchase a parking pass; however, we will not begin selling parking passes to sophomores until juniors and seniors have had ample time to buy their passes.  Sophomores may begin buying parking passes on Tuesday, September 6th

The price of a parking pass has been significantly reduced for the 2016-17 school year.  Passes for the West, North and East Lots will be $20 and passes for the Overflow Lot will be $10.  Students that park in the Overflow Lot must be aware the reduced price does not reduce the responsibility to be to 1st period on time.

All lots are available to all students based upon their preference.  We will sell parking passes until the parking lots are at capacity. At that point, no parking passes will be sold for the remainder of the year.

An additional change for next school year is that we are expanding the times when students can buy parking passes during the school day.  Parking passes may be purchased from 7:00-7:30 a.m., and from 2:45-3:30 in the Attendance Office.  Passes will not be sold from 7:30-7:45 for any reason. The secretaries need that time to take care of attendance issues before the start of the school day.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
