Hello BHS Parents / Guardians -
If you have a student who is planning to take the ACT sometime this summer, BHS is offering another ACT prep session on Thursday, May 29th from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm at Beavercreek High School. (Yes, this session is held AFTER school is out, in Room 1003.)
Test-optional college admissions is quickly disappearing! Currently, over two-thirds of American colleges and universities have returned to test-required or test-recommended admissions. The Ohio State University recently announced that it will require test scores from all its applicants starting this fall, abandoning the test-optional experiment. To be sure, selective colleges, special programs, and merit-based scholarship providers see a student’s performance on the SAT or ACT as a highly critical factor in their evaluation of that student’s academic prowess. Colleges that remain test optional consistently admit a higher percentage of their applicants who provide test scores than students whose applications do not contain them.
