Creek Gives Back: Donate Your Extra Halloween Candy to Support Local Heroes

Posted Date: 10/27/26 (03:06 PM)

Beavercreek City Schools is coming together to give back to those who serve our community! For the ninth consecutive year, Main Elementary School is organizing its annual Halloween candy collection to create gratitude bags for local first responders and veterans.

This year, the initiative is expanding across the district, providing families with four convenient collection locations to help make a difference.

Candy donations will be accepted November 2–6 at the following locations:
  • Main Elementary School
  • Fairbrook Elementary School
  • Trebein Elementary School
  • Ferguson Hall
Families are encouraged to donate their extra Halloween candy by placing it in Ziploc bags and dropping it off in the designated collection bins near each building's main office during school hours. Please do not donate powdered candy, such as Pixy Stix.

Through this annual tradition, Main Elementary hopes to show appreciation for the first responders and veterans who dedicate their time to serving and protecting our community.

Beavercreek City Schools thanks all students, families, and staff for their generosity and support. Together, we can turn leftover Halloween treats into a meaningful expression of gratitude while demonstrating what it means to be One Creek!
