Beavercreek City Schools is proud to support our military heroes! Recently, Coy Principal Andrea Ferguson had the incredible opportunity to join Lt. Colonel John Smith, Coy's science teacher, at the 445th Airlift Wing's Employer Appreciation Day. This full-day event showcased our brave servicemembers in action, featuring M-4 demonstrations, security forces operations, and even a C-17 flight experience! ✈️ Lt. Colonel Smith, who has dedicated an impressive 37 years to the Air Force, continues to serve both our country and our students. His invitation provided a valuable glimpse into the lives of our citizen soldiers. Thank you, Lt. Colonel Smith, for your outstanding service in the classroom and uniform. We are honored to have you as part of our Creek family! 🧡🖤 #GoCreek #MilitaryAppreciation #AirForce #TeachersWhoServe

Students in ⚕️ Medical Detectives have been working on taking vital signs. 🩺 Nurses Ms. Kathleen Grimm and Ms. Latisha Newport visited the classes in Coy and Ankeney to share the vital signs they take in the clinic and the importance of HIPAA. Students then learned and practiced how to take blood pressure, pulse 💓, temperature, respiratory rate, and blood oxygen levels. Some of the vital signs they were able to take several ways! Amazing!
