career tech grant

Beavercreek City Schools (BCS) is pleased to announce that we have been selected to receive $1,355,131 through the Ohio Career Technical Education Equipment Grant Program. This significant grant will help us further our vision of inspiring and empowering tomorrow’s leaders.

The Ohio Career Technical Education Equipment Grant Program aims to award competitive grants to schools to establish or expand CTE programs. Priority is given to programs aligning with careers on Ohio’s Top Jobs List and those establishing or expanding credentialing programs from the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation Innovative Workforce Incentive Program list.

The funds awarded to BCS will be strategically utilized to enhance the district’s new CTE offerings, providing essential equipment to training students to meet the demands of the workforce. Specifically, the grant will facilitate the establishment of two new career technical education pathways within the Information Technology career field: the Information Support and Services Pathway and the Cybersecurity Pathway.

Additionally, funds will be allocated to enhance the Education and Training Pathway and the Business and Administrative Services Pathway. Both pathways were launched during the 2023-2024 school year with introductory Education Principles and Fundamentals of Business and Administrative Services courses.

“We are honored and excited to receive this grant, as it will enable us to further develop and expand our Career Technical Education programs, providing numerous opportunities for our students," said Dr. Bobbie Fiori, Assistant Superintendent.

The district remains committed to providing students with innovative educational opportunities that prepare them for success in their chosen career paths. This grant represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to support student achievement and workforce development.
