Mrs. Minton's ELL students are from all over the world: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Vietnam, The Congo, Turkey, Japan, Spain, and Lebanon. To start the 23-24 school year, she introduced them to America's favorite pastime, BASEBALL! Students learned baseball vocabulary and practiced verbs like throw, pitch, hit, miss, and swing. Then, they got to try it out for themselves. Also, baseball lessons are only complete with learning "Take Me Out to the Ballgame and eating some Cracker Jacks!

Some of our Ankeney Middle School students participated in an introductory lesson on the Depth and Complexity icons this week. The Beavercreek Girls Soccer Program attended the TOPs Special Needs Soccer Camp for the 12th year. The team worked with the kids to help them with their soccer skills. It was an excellent time for all, but a highlight of the day was the wheelchair Hot Wheels Soccer Game.

BCS Hope Squad students are hosting a Game of Hope on Friday, September 22, during our home football game against Wayne High School as part of National Suicide Prevention Month.
Connection is a factor that protects people from suicide risks, so Hope Squad members would love for the community to show up to this game wearing a Game of Hope t-shirt to show support to those who are struggling with their mental health.
